Lethbridge was originally planted to vine by Swiss immigrants circa 1874. Replanted and redeveloped in 1996, the site is managed to the biodynamic principles of Biological Farmers Australia. Real wine is the passion, wines which are the product of healthy vines and traditional vinification. A mixture of clones, including MV6 and 114, 115 and 777 are grown to a number of unique terroirs on the Lethbridge property. All blocks are picked and handled separately in order to construct a Pinot Noir with penetrative palate and engaging complexity.

A historic woollen mill in Lobethal was ideally suited as a wineworks. Pigeoulet is the vineyard delineation where the illustrious Vieux Telegraphe of Chateauneuf-du-Pape maintain their offices and manage the estate cellars. Le Pigeoulet acquired its own unique nomenclature in 1998, when the terroir of Caromb was incorporated into the Cotes du Rhône appellation. A further plot to the south of the village at Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on the east bank of the Rhône, is planted mainly to forty year old Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault vines, and amounts to a third of the source for the complex cépage of Le Pigeoulet.

The Orphans are ten rows of seriously old vines Shiraz, planted before 1860 by Langmeil founder Christian Auricht. At the ripe old age of a century and a half, Section 36 in the Hundred of Moorooroo was saved from the developer's bulldozer and reunited with the greater Langmeil flock. The orphans were brought back to their new home, vine by vine with rootballs intact, to join the replantings of Auricht's original Vine Gardens adjacent to the Langmeil wineworks on rich alluvial soils along the banks of Para River.

They found freedom to work, worship and prosper in the Barossa. The Freedom has not only survived but thrives to this day, it yields an extraordinary Shiraz wine. These thick trunked, dry grown, low yielding, gap toothed old vines on the banks of North Para River, may be the oldest surviving Shiraz in Australia.

Just outside the Barossa village of Bethany, Lutheran settlers built a simple mud and stone dwelling in 1842 to house a local cowherd. Vines were later planted around the homestead and it took on the name Landhaus. The little cottage has since been refurbished and the neglected vines nursed back to health. The limited yields of Landhaus are now a realization of everything Barossa, winemaking tradition and the endowments of nature. An old vines Shiraz of power, texture and immense depth of flavour, stylish, seductive and full of charm.
