Chardonnay / Barossa Eden / SouthAustralia
Peter Lehmann is about making a delicate, soft refreshing Chardonnay with the accent very much on letting the fruit flavours come to the fore. Barrel fermentation and maturation is used only sparingly, a small component is vinified in French oak barriques to give a touch of beautiful textural creaminess and contribute complexity. By assembling parcels of the finest Chardonnay from good vineyards in the lower Barossa, with those of the higher, cooler Eden Valley, Peter Lehmann makes a wine with great depth of flavour and stylishly taut structure.

Semillon / Barossa Valley / SouthAustralia
Peter Lehmann's story with Noble Semilon goes back many years when Andrew Wigan had the good fortune of experiencing vintage within the vineyards at Chateau d'Yquem, home to the greatest sweet white table wine in the world. What he had assumed to be spoilage, was in fact Botrytis Cinerea. Traditionally, botrytis affected wines are the most complex and longest lived of all sweet styles. The Barossa Valley is an ideal region for late harvest given the quality of local Semillon and the warm conditions that continue well into vintage.
